We have arranged with a brand new Holiday Inn that is very pleasant and accommodating. They provide free airport transportation to and from Fort Lauderdale International Airport (the closest airport) and have all the needed amenities: like room service and a nice restaurant. We are a 3 minute taxi ride from the hotel, if you choose not to rent a car. The discounted rate runs between $99 and $149 per night depending on the time of year. Also, we are less than a $200 plane ride from anywhere in the USA.
